The easiest way to travel to and from Lhasa is by airplanes:

◆ Chengdu—Lhasa, Chengdu airport is the main hub for flights to Lhasa. In the summer, more than 10 flights every day. Takes 1h50m

◆ Xi’an—Lhasa, This summer, 3 flights daily. Takes 2h40m

◆ Beijing—Lhasa, A flight daily, with a stop at Chengdu. One can also take a Beijing—Chengdu flight, then transfer to a Chengdu —Lhasa flight

◆ Shanghai—Lhasa, A flight daily, with a stop at Xi’an. One can also take a Shanghai—Chengdu flight, then transfer to a Chengdu —Lhasa flight

◆ Shanghai—Lhasa, 4,373km, about 53 hours.
