Shanghai
is the biggest city in China, an internationalized metropolis,
industrial, commercial, banking center. It situated on the
east side of the mainland, facing East Sea which is a part of
Pacific Ocean.
There
are about 15 million people live in Shanghai. Chinese is
official language and Mandarin is widely spoken dialect. Many
young people, especially school and college students can
understand and speak English.
The
safety record in Shanghai is generally good. Nevertheless, in
order to protect your own interest and safety we would like to
remind you that we expect you to remain vigilant against
pickpocket, not
to change any money in the street with strangers.
Tap water is
not for direct drinking. Toilet tissue is usually not
provided in public lavatory, thus, we suggest that you take
tissue with you when you go out.
