• Information about money

• Currency Exchange and Money Matters

  Money can be changed at Jin Sha Hotel and Qing Shui Wan Hotel (limited to US$, Euro, British Pound, Japanese Yen and HK$). For those who stay in The Yi Fu Building, you may change your money at the bank outside the university main gate (business hours 9:00-16:00, closed on Sunday). We suggest  you change some money to RMB at the airport. Do not change any money in the street with strangers. If you carry traveler's check, you can change it to RMB at the Bank of China (中国银行), which is rather far from all hotels and the university. 

  　

  Currency exchange: US$1.00 roughly can be changed to RMB8.2641 .

  　

  The unit of currency is the Chinese RMB (Ren Min Bi). Notes are denominations of ￥(Yuan) 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 2, 1 and 50cents,. There are coins ￥1, 50cents, 10 cents, 5cents, 2cents and 1 cent. Major credit cards i.e. Visa and Master can only be used at big hotels and shopping centers.　

  　

• Tipping

  Usually there is no tipping custom in China for restaurant and bar waiters, hotel servers, taxi drivers, and doormen.  

  　

• Registration Fee Coverage

  The fee coverage for Shanghai session includes all sessions of the conference (PL, RL, Symposiums, TSGs, Interview, Poster etc.); lunches; teas, Conference Reception at the evening of Aug. 7; Entertainment at the evening of Aug. 9; city tour; conference bag with Programme book, CD proceedings, stationeries, map of Shanghai and small souvenir.

   

  The registration fee for Nanjing/Hangzhou sessions covers all the fee  for the transportation to Nanjing/Hangzhou and the transportation back to Shanghai on Aug. 13, all sessions over there, lunches, teas, a formal banquet, and city tour.

   

  Nanjing Session and Hangzhou Session are arranged at the same time. So only one of the two sessions can be chosen. The transportation between Shanghai and Nanjing will be by train and that between Shanghai and Hangzhou will be by bus. The transport fees are included in the  registration fee for Nanjing and Hangzhou session. It will take about 2 to 3 hours from Shanghai to Hangzhou or Nanjing.

   

• Accommodation

  Accommodation booking will follow the rule "first-come, first- served". Check out time is 12:00 noon.

  　

  * About Breakfast: Breakfast is served in each hotel, but breakfast is not included in accommodation fee in some hotels.  Details will be announced on the conference web later. 

  　

  * About supermarket nearby: there are two medium-sized supermarkets nearby, HUALIAN GMS and CITY-MART. HUALIAN GMS is on the 5th floor of the HUALIAN commercial building. It will be on service from 9:00 to 21:30 everyday, while the CITY-MART from 8:30 to 22:00 everyday. And there are also some small convenient shops nearby, which serve all day along. The locations of all these shops are shown on the sketch map.
