Aims
and Focus |

In Topic Study Group 2 we will examine and discuss
contemporary developments in learning and teaching |
| mathematics
at the primary school. We will try to achieve an appropriate
balance between theory and practice |
| and
between research and developmental activities. We will also
attempt to bring together a blend of research |
| and
practice activities from the different countries represented
in our TSG. |

Call
for Papers
|

|
|
The Organizing Team of TSG 2 is inviting the submission of
papers for presentation and distribution. |
| Papers
may be proposed for the presentation in two different
formats: |
- parallel
session papers, related to specific topic areas (see
below)
- Poster
Presentation
|
|
The
official language of the conference is English. Papers or
Posters for the proceedings must be written |
| and
presented in English. |
|
|
|
Deadline
for submission |
| |
|
March 10, 2005 |
|
Based on a careful refereeing process, the Organizing Team
will decide on whether to accept the paper, |
| and
(if relevant) in what special group the paper is to be
presented. Notification of this decision will |
| be
given no later than April 6, 2005. |

for TSG 2 may comprise four parallel sessions according to
sub-themes. These sessions will |

the presentation and discussion of a number of papers on
developments and trends in learning and |
| teaching
mathematics for primary school. |
